Can an employer verify a credential without contacting the holder?

Yes. That is the point of the register. Verification requires only the credential identifier, which the holder may publish freely. No account or contact with the Council is needed.

What does the register show?

The credential name, the identifier, the issue date, the expiry date, and the current status — active, expired, suspended, or withdrawn. The holder’s name is shown only where the holder has consented to public listing.

What happens if a credential is withdrawn?

The register entry remains, with its status changed to withdrawn. Entries are never deleted, because a verification record that can disappear is not a verification record.

When does the portal open?

The register opens with the first cohort in October 2026. Until then no credentials have been issued and any claim to hold one should be treated as false.
