§ 2 — Reporting misuse
Reporting misuse of a credential
If someone claims a Council certification they do not hold, or misrepresents what a certification covers — for example presenting an individual credential as certification of their employer or a product — report it.
Include the claim as you encountered it, where you saw it, and the credential identifier if one was given. Reports are assessed by the Ethics and Conduct Panel. The person concerned is told what is alleged and given a fair opportunity to respond before any decision is taken.
Note that until the first cohort in October 2026, the Council has issued no credentials. Any current claim to hold one is false.
